About Kids Books can be your partner in publishing the following:

  • Chapter books
  • Middle grade novels
  • Books of poems for children
  • Books of plays for children
  • Books of short stories for children

Please note that we do not publish YA novels, children’s non-fiction, or picture books.

Your book will be:

  • Published under About Kids imprint
  • Read and assessed
  • Professionally edited and proofread
  • Professionally designed and illustrated
  • Assigned an ISBN
  • Assigned a barcode
  • Sent out to 10 book reviewers
  • Sent to the author (10 copies)
  • Given marketing and publicity support
  • Displayed on the About Kids Books website

Due to variations in page extent, number of words and illustrations, paper stock and colour, also the number of copies that you want printed, please contact us for a pricing quote.
We also offer manuscript assessment and copy editing. (Please note that we offer these services even if you do not wish to publish your work with About Kids Books.)

Costs are as follow:

  • Assessing and editing picture books (up to 1,000 words) is a $100 flat fee. This will also include assessment after you rework your manuscript.
  • Assessing and editing other books for children (excluding YA novels) is $25 per 1,000 words or part thereof.
